SUN HO RAISED RMB 600,000 FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS
IN “PUJIANG’S NIGHT OF LOVE”
Singapore’s international pop artiste Sun Ho spread warmth and sunshine as she performed at “Pujiang’s Night Of Love,” a charity fund-raiser for the Special Olympics held in Shanghai on August 11, 2007. In collaboration with China’s singing sensation Sun Nan, Sun Ho belted out the theme song of the Special Olymics “We Share One World,” rousing the night’s event to a climax. All proceeds earned at the charity bazaar and auction is used to sponsor the Special Olympics and the Children’s Foundation.
At this star-studded charity event, many sports celebrities made their
appearances, including Asia’s top athlete Liu Xiang, table tennis grand master Wang Liqin, and international basketball celebrity Yao Ming, who postponed honeymoon plans just to attend the charity gala night. Celebrities from the entertainment circle, such as movie star Jet Li and songbird He Jie, also added their share of glitz to the evening.

Already well known in China as the Ambassador of Love, much to the delight of her fans, Sun Ho flew all the way from Singapore to
collaborate with Sun Nan in
performing the touching number “We Share One World,” which is chosen out of 573 compositions to be the theme song of Special Olympics 2007. In collaboration with Andy Lau, S.H.E., Alan Tam, Joey Yung and Guang Liang, Sun Ho expressed her well wishes through a video the celebrities specially prepared for the Special Olympics participants.
AMBASSADOR OF LOVE IN ACTION
With the enthusiastic support of
international pop artistes, this year’s charity auction was a great success. Sun contributed two of her personal items for the auction, including her unique portrait drawn by the renowned artist Jiang Yunzhong, and the limited edition 4.4 carat diamond ring “Mer de Larmes” created by French jeweler Larme Vilotte.
This intricately designed ring also bears Sun’s autograph and the Special Olympics emblem. Fetching RMB 600,000 in total, these two items
contributed by Sun brought in the highest proceeds that evening for charity.
